Workshop: Creative Thinking with Sarah Carpenter (for 16-25 year olds)

Tuesday 3 October 2023

5pm – 7pm

Science Gallery London

Great Maze Pond, London SE1 9GU

Join Sarah Carpenter for a creative and thoughtful workshop where we will explore the possibilities of creating artwork using items of nature, hosted at the Science Gallery London.

Start collecting pieces of nature that you would usually pass everyday without noticing, and bring them along to the workshop. Sarah will lead you in exploring different possibilities of creating artwork from your found materials, using a variety of mediums such as drawing, photography, print-making, writing, collage and sculpture.

This is a free workshop aimed at young people aged 16-25 with lived experience of mental health conditions, or who live in South London and Maudsley catchment areas. It includes entry to Science Gallery London, workshop materials and free coffee/tea/soft drinks.

The work we create in this workshop will inform Sarah’s art commission to create 3D artworks for the Pears Maudsley Centre.

If you have any questions, access needs, or would like help with registering, please contact carmel.woolmington@bethlemgallery.com or anna.parsonage@bethlemgallery.com.
