Creative Writing: a workshop with Tom Newlands

Wednesday 25 September, 11am-12.30pm

Bethlem Gallery

Join Tom Newlands for a creative writing workshop where we will cut-up existing texts, from Shakespeare to The Daily Mirror, and generate new meanings through reassembly and rewriting, pushing the boundaries of our vocabulary and finding unexpected connections in the process.

Tom Newlands is a Scottish writer living in London. He is the winner of a London Writer’s Award, a Creative Future Writer’s Award and New Writing North’s ‘A Writing Chance’. His debut novel ‘Only Here, Only Now’ has just been published by Orion to rave reviews.

Newlands is Creative Future’s 2024 London Writer In Residence, in partnership with and hosted by Bethlem Gallery.
