“Art is not a mirror held up to reality but a hammer with which to shape it.” – Bertolt Brecht
Join Mark McGowan, The Artist Taxi Driver, on Saturday mornings to make a film for cinema.
As a group you will make an experimental film drawing on the works of writer and novelist Samuel Beckett, French writers Antonin Artaud and Alfred Jarry and filmmaker Maya Deren.
There will be no rules, no beginnings and no endings, no directors, only workshops and filmmaking!
Structure of the Day
11am – Introduction and chat with the artist
11.30am – 1pm Filming session
(Please bring your own lunch as there isn’t anything open on site at the weekend.)
We are looking for people to take part and be featured in the films we create, so if you’re interested do sign up.
