Mixed media workshops with Amber Roper from the Blühen Studio
Friday 29th July at 198 Gallery
Saturday 30th July at 198 Gallery
Both 11am-1pm
Join artist Amber Roper from the Blühen Studio to create your own unique woven artwork.
Please note that the workshops planned for Bethlem Gallery on 22nd & 23rd July have had to be postponed. We apologise and will reschedule soon.
Amber Roper has been commissioned by Bethlem Gallery to create a series of artworks for the Family Rooms in New Douglas Bennett House, the new adult centre on the Maudsley’s Denmark Hill campus. Read more about this project here.
We want to make sure families have an opportunity to shape how these artworks make the space feel, so Amber is inviting families with experience of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust’s services to help her develop her commission. During the free and relaxed mixed media workshop you will have an opportunity to experiment with weaving, collaging and yarn-wrapping techniques and chat about what the family rooms in the new centre should feel like.
