Meet the Writer Day: Anita Goveas

Are you interested in creative writing or have any questions about writing in general? Come along to this drop in session with Bethlem Gallery’s Writer in Residence for 2025, Anita Goveas.

Anita Goveas is a British-Asian writer of flash fiction and short stories. Her debut flash collection, Families and other natural disasters, is available from Reflex Press.

She’s also co-edited (with Susmita Battacharya and Farhana Khalique) Flash Fusion an anthology of flash fiction, writing prompts and interviews by and about authors of South Asian Heritage available from Dahlia Publishing.

Goveas is Creative Future’s 2025 London Writer In Residence, in partnership with and hosted by Bethlem Gallery.

For those who can’t make it, we will also be running an online meet the writer session on Thursday 13 March at 12pm.

About Bethlem Gallery workshops

Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Concessions are available for SLaM service users, people over 60, students, people receiving ESA, people registered disabled and their carers. We often take photos at our workshops to use on social media – please speak to the facilitator if you do not want to appear in any photos.
