Experimental Printing Workshop with Beth Hopkins
Saturday 6th January 2024
Bethlem Gallery
11am-1pm
Join us for an experimental printmaking workshop in the gallery studio space.
Participants will be invited to carve their own design into a piece of polystyrene, using a blunt pencil or other tools. We will also experiment with chine collé, the printmaking technique in which an image is transferred onto a surface that is bonded onto a heavier support in the printing process.
All printing materials will be provided. Participants are invited to think in advance what they would like to make a print about, but this is not compulsory.
The workshop is led by artist and curator Beth Hopkins and is inspired by our current Art Fair exhibition, which showcases the huge diversity of mediums used by our artist community.
