Join artist Beth Hopkins to explore organic systems using drawing.

In the workshop we will be folding an expanding zig zag book, and filling it with washes of colour and your own drawings. Bring along a biro (any colour) and discover the range of tones you can make. This workshop is part of the Big Draw 2022, ‘Come back to colour’.

**Please note: This workshop will take place online and in person at Bethlem Gallery in a hybrid format. We want to create an environment where people will feel in the same room, whether they are joining the workshop online or are at the gallery in-person. To do this, we will have a video stream from the workshop room for the online participants to see what is going on and a screen in the workshop room for participants to see what is happening online. We will check people’s preferences on the day for whether their faces are featured or not.

• If you are joining us online, please bring along sheets of paper to be cut into strips (A3 is ideal as it makes longer strips), Ruler, Scissors, Pencil, A biro (your choice of colour), Paint if you’d like to do a colour wash – watercolour is best, liquid ink is also good (optional) , Brush (optional).
• If you are coming in person to the gallery, you will be provided with all materials.

• No previous art experience is necessary.
