Album Cover Design with Peter Harris, Warren from Meatraffle and The Artist Taxi Driver
Saturday 27th January 2024
Bethlem Gallery
1pm-4pm
Join us for a workshop to design album covers in the gallery studio space.
Bethlem Gallery is making a vinyl album for an exhibition starting later this year. The album will include music and songs by musicians and artists from the Bethlem community and will be available to purchase during the exhibition.
In this workshop, we are inviting artists to design an album cover. The Artist Taxi Driver will be leading the event and will be joined by artist Peter Harris and Warren from the band Meatraffle to talk about their experience of designing album covers. The participants will also draw inspiration from other Bethlem Artists.
Peter Harris has created many album covers in his career and famously worked with Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry. Musician Warren will share what he has learnt from his experiences of producing albums.
Artists will be invited to create, paint, collage or print their own album cover design. All materials will be provided. Participants are invited to plan in advance what they would like to design on their album cover, but this is not compulsory.
