As part of our August Wednesdays series of afternoon talks, Bethlem Gallery Curator, Karim Sultan will be leading this week’s talk.
Karim presents the idea of developing a ‘toolkit’ for artists of how to look at artworks (and the world more broadly) with concepts drawn from art history and its neighbouring disciplines.
In this first of two talks, Karim’s focus will be on ‘space’ – the spaces we live in, move through, create, and depict in our artistic work, with examples from the Bethlem Gallery Art Collection and beyond.
A presentation will be followed by Q&A / discussion.
Our Wednesday Talks Series takes place throughout the month of August, and will feature guest artists and the gallery curator in a relaxed and accessible format online.
