In our new Artist Talks series, on the last Thursday of every month an artist will take the floor and delve into their practice in an online talk/presentation. To kick things off, artist Antonia Attwood – who has work showing as part of our current exhibition – will explore her work Maybe it was the chicken pox?.
Maybe it was the chicken pox? (2022–present) is Antonia Attwood’s personal exploration of chronic illness, developed following her diagnosis with Psoriatic Arthritis. Using micro photography, painting, video, and sculpture, Attwood visualises the internal realities of living with a chronic autoimmune condition.
This talk runs alongside the exhibition The Places We Know: Selected Works from the Bethlem Gallery Art Collection which shows until 11 April 2026.
If you are unable to attend the event, please contact us to cancel your place. We often have a waiting list.
