Bethany Williams: Journey to This Wild, Achingly Beautiful Place

ORTUS, 82-96 Grove Lane, SE5 8SN

26 November 2025 – 3 March 2026

Open 8am – 5pm, Mon – Fri

Artist and designer Bethany Williams presents a selection of works that explores the artist’s journey with material, landscape, and healing.

The artist’s home of the Isle of Man, where these paintings were produced, is both setting and inspiration. They make use of natural dyes produced from plants foraged in this landscape, giving the exhibition a distinct character and feeling across materials.

These works see Bethany Williams returning to painting after a break from the fashion world. Broad gestures, wistful landscapes, and pensive figures reveal a return to a creative process that is hands-on, tactile, individual, and exploratory.

This display accompanies Bethany Williams’ solo exhibition at Bethlem Gallery, This Wild, Achingly Beautiful Place (11 October 2025 – 24 January 2026).
