Join us for an online panel conversation on the role of biography in presenting an artist’s work.
An artist’s personal biography often takes the fore in exhibitions, books, and popular imagination. This can especially be seen in exhibitions opening this summer, with Audrey Amiss (Wellcome Collection), Richard Dadd (Royal Academy), and Frida Kahlo (Tate Modern).
In this conversation we will explore questions around the different ways an artist is present with their art. What are examples in which the artist’s persona or image dominates, or where they are absent?
Artist speakers to be announced soon.
