Pom-Pom and Textile Materials Workshop with Artist Corinne

Saturday 24 June, 2023

Bethlem Gallery
11am-1pm

Join us for a workshop to create and build with your own pom-poms, inspired by the work of Corinne.

Artist Corinne will lead this workshop remotely alongside the showing of their work ‘Period Survival Quilt’, 2023 in our current exhibition Elsewhere. Together, you will build and create structures with your own pom-poms.

“I identify as gender-fluid and each month during my period I experience gender dysphoria. This ‘Period Survival Quilt’ is influenced by ‘Daisyland’ a magical place myself and my imaginary friend Daisy created to escape a dramatic childhood. A place where my gender-fluid identity, sexual orientation and disabilities are embraced rather than discriminated against.”

The artwork was conceived during a recent remote residency with Level Centre and has been fully realised for the first time for this exhibition.

This event runs alongside the group exhibition Elsewhere which shows from 24 May to 9 September 2023. Scroll down to buy your tickets.
