About this objectAcrylic and and mixed media on canvas. A repeat pattern cover the central canvas, created by repeating interlocking stick shapes in red and blue. A shape within the pattern, that looks like a figure, is highlighted in white, and a newspaper cutting – a description of a psychiatric ward – fits neatly in a gap created by the pattern. Around this shape, at the bottom of the canvas, sand has been applied with a grouter.
