We are looking forward to welcoming you!
Opening days and times
The Gallery is open 10am-5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and the first and last Saturdays of the Month.
There will be a limit of 6 visitors inside the building at any one time due to social distancing. For Saturdays 29 May and 5 June, which we anticipate might be popular, we will have slots available to book on eventbrite here. At all other times, there is no need to book – you are welcome any time during opening hours.
When you enter the hospital site, please tell staff at the gate that you will be visiting the Gallery. The Gallery and Museum are directly in front of the main entrance to the hospital site, across the roundabout. We will also ask for your contact details for track and trace purposes. We will keep these details for 21 days.
All visitors are required to wear face coverings, apart from those who are exempt.
Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance, along with increased cleaning regimes in toilets and other high use areas.
Please only visit with people from your household or support bubble (maximum group size six).
If you or anyone you live with has COVID-19 symptoms, or if you have recently been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, please stay at home.
The gallery space is wheelchair accessible, there is a disabled toilet and lift in the building.
A booklet will be available in large print for the current exhibition. Please ask at the desk on arrival.
If you have any access requirements you would like us to be aware of, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 020 3228 4101 and let us know.
About the site
The Bethlem Royal Hospital is set in 240 acres of stunning grounds with bluebell woods in the spring. At the moment these are closed to walkers but we hope the grounds will reopen as soon as covid restrictions allow.
Since February 2015 the Gallery and Museum has been situated under one roof in an impressive listed deco building at the front of the site. Admission free.
