Binding objects workshop
Every object has a life – it has been made, used and witnessed things.
Join artist Beth Hopkins to explore ways of working with found objects. We will be looking at artists who have used binding in their work and the many meanings behind it. Bring along an object that means something to you and has a story. We will be binding and unbinding the object and exploring what this process might mean.
As well as your object you will need string, wool, thread and a piece of unwanted fabric that can be torn into strips, such as an old bedsheet.
