Place of Safety artwork commission

The Maudsley Place of Safety is a purpose-built central building for young people and adults who are detained temporarily under section 136 of the Mental Health Act. A single stay can last for up to 72 hours until the person is assessed and a decision on their care needs is made.

We are looking for an artist with lived experience of Mental Health services to design and deliver a painted mural for the staff-base walls in the Place of Safety.

Shortlisted designs will receive a fee of £200, and the budget for creating the final mural is £2,500.

Full information pack is available here.
