We are delighted to announce that 9 Bethlem Artists have work hanging in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts
This year our Patron, Grayson Perry, was curating the exhibition and facilitated Bethlem Artists, amongst other artists who had never shown in mainstream spaces before, to submit their work.
The historic show is an annual phenomenon with hundreds of thousands of visitors and millions of pounds of sales per year. Grayson’s flamboyant style has conjured huge interest and some colourful reviews.
We attended the varnishing day with some of our artists who enjoyed the procession down Piccadilly to attend the Artists Service at St James’s church before seeing their work hung for the first time and spotting some celebrities amongst the artists.
Artist Kim says “This is one of my ambitions completed to show my work at the RA. It was awesome to see my work and my friends work up there, it was such a beautiful day.”
We urge you to go and see this wonderful, colourful show that is on until 19 August.
