Join us for workshops and events in June with artist Beth Hopkins as part of her exhibition Traces.

Lost and found: Book making workshop

3 June, 10am – 12pm

Join artist Beth Hopkins to make a concertina book around the theme of lost and found, or objects left behind. Bring an object you have found and imagine where it has been, or where it might be going or explore our collection of objects left behind by patients in the hospital. In the session you will be able to create a concertina book, and draw, paint or collage your ideas.

No previous art experience necessary, all materials provided.

‘Traces’ Poetry Reading

3 June 3 – 4.30pm

Join us for a poetry reading in tandem with the exhibition ‘Traces’. Poets Andrea Brady, Samantha Walton, and Laurel Uziell have been invited to respond to the Bethlem site and its history. The reading will take place in the gallery studio, all welcome.

Clay figure workshop

14 June 2 – 4pm

As part of Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2017 join artist Beth Hopkins and learn how to work with air-drying clay. Make your own figure and decorate pre-made figures to take away with you.
