The Ripley Arts centre invites you to the opening of Mirror on the 13th April: an exhibition of recent oil paintings by artist George Harding. His self-portraits, distorted in rippled glass and misted mirror, serve as a metaphor for reality and what lies beyond our physical selves. “Reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one” – Albert Einstein. The artist seeks to speculate on what is beyond this illusion, what it is to be human, how we relate to others, and how we understand ourselves?
